Jeromes Dream were a Connecticut screamo three piece and one of the most influential hardcore bands of all time.
The band released two albums (Seeing Means More than Safety and Presents) and a bunch of splits with bands like Orchid and Usurp Synapse.
On their earlier records and shows, singer Jeff Smith didn't use a mic while performing which became a kind of trademark for JD.

For their second album, Presents, all screams were replaced by some kind of "megaphone" vocals with a lot of effects. This stylistic shift was rumored to be a product of the vocal chord damage their singer had sustained while performing.

On this record you can clearly tell the difference between the shrieking vocals of old JD and the
vocals of post-Presents.
